Latent View Analytics is one of the world’s largest analytics firms with a presence in India and the US. Serving some of the leading companies in the world, Latent View is also growing its employee strength and has more than 1000+ employees globally. 

Considering the accelerated growth phase that the organization is in, the HR team felt the need to establish cultural practices that would guide the employees and leadership in their vision. One such practice that the HR team was particular about was introducing a culture of rewards and recognition, that’s scalable, automated and more seamless.

Before Buzzz, Latent View had a manual rewards program in place. The HR was dependent on the Finance team to release budgets. They then had to purchase Amazon vouchers of different values, and get them printed and packaged into envelopes to be distributed during a physical event. However, as the organization was growing in size, they realized this wasn’t a sustainable practice. They needed: 

  1.  A more simplified way of managing the rewards program that’s sustainable as they scale 
  2.  Provide managers with a platform to give out spot awards to their team members without being dependent on HR 
  3.  Tie rewards and recognition to the company values to reinforce the organizational culture 
  4.  Enable a more participative form of rewards & recognition, that can get all employees involved

With Buzzz, Latent View onboarded 900 of its Indian employees to a single platform and handed them the freedom to appreciate and recognize their colleagues, regardless of the team, level or location they were in. The platform’s interactive features also let other people in the organization ‘like and comment’ on the appreciation posts shared by team members. 

In addition, HRs and managers were empowered with points that they could award to employees. And employees who received these points could redeem it against Buzzz’s reward store of 500+ global e-vouchers. 

Such was the uptake of the platform that, in the last one year, Latent View: 

  1. Ran a photography contest using the ‘Knowledge Hub’ feature of Buzzz 
  2.  Introduced gamification to the platform by giving out badges to employees who were the most active, gave out the most appreciation, commented the most, etc.
